We have several newspapers published by bomb groups in the Pacific Theater. Instead of uploading all eight pages to this post, we have them available to read on our Flickr account. Without further ado, here’s what the 43rd Bomb Group was doing as of March 7, 1945.
My DADS Group had the same kind of Newspaper but it was put out by the 42nd Bomb Group 390th Bombardment Squadron New Guinea. I have the newspapers from his scrapebook.

Of what I could make out, the ‘Rowdy Rodent Pilfers in the PX’ story is funny. It also shows just how much humor was needed for the men to keep up their morale.

That was our favorite story! We were also thinking about how lucky we are to not deal with rats like that around here.
