YouTube is full of stories from war veterans. This week, we ran across an interesting video of interviews with Tennessee WWII veterans collected by Boy Scout Ian Murphy for his Eagle Scout project. We hope you enjoy it.

Love oral histories like this! I recommend the checking out University of Nebraska’s History Harvest project. It is dedicated to digitizing WWII history through personal objects and family stories.

Thanks for the recommendation! It’s great that the school is getting involved with WWII history digitization efforts.

The goal of the Nebraska U program is to get more universities involved and to make it a network to get the perspectives of different communities. I’m really cheering it on because I think it would be a great addition to WWII history since the goal is to get previously unpublished or unseen documents out there in the public view. Think of how many untold stories there are!

A fabulous collection of stories, it’s great that people take the time to interview and record these people before its all too late.
